Acronis said that according to a local survey conducted in October among Czech IT providers, 46% of them already provide some kind of MSP services and are planning further switch to MSP. In addition to rising customer demand for IT security services, one of the reasons for the move to MSP is the large number of IT tools in use and the desire of MSP providers to simplify and streamline their business with the help of comprehensive platforms.
IT vendors themselves understand that the IT tool acquisition model is rapidly changing from traditional hardware and software sales to cloud and MSP service delivery. In addition to remote management and monitoring, there is also growing interest from customers in cloud-based IT security and data protection services. In the case of backup, for example, 40% of IT providers already reported that they primarily back up their customers’ data in a hybrid way, i.e. locally and to the cloud, significantly more than in the pre-pandemic period.
Highlights from the Acronis survey include:
“The main challenge for today’s IT service providers is the growing number of solutions they need to eliminate an increasing number of cyber threats,” said Štěpán Bínek, responsible for sales of Acronis cloud solutions at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “Constantly switching between these platforms leads to errors and excessive workload for IT administrators. For this reason, the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform, for example, seeks to integrate all the necessary tools in one place that can be easily controlled from one central dashboard.”
