CLOUDFLARE: THE ZERO TRUST PLATFORM REDUCES ATTACK SUCCESS RATES BY 91% AND SPEEDS UP APPLICATION ACCESS BY UP TO 30%

5 Reasons to Eliminate Enterprise Threats with a Zero Trust Approach

PRAGUE, November 18, 2021 – Cloudflare said that more and more enterprises and organisations are relying on the Zero Trust platform to protect their IT infrastructure. Cloudflare’s Zero Trust Network Access technologies not only strengthen the perimeter around enterprise data centres, but also around individual users, applications and devices, isolating them from cyber attacks.

There are 5 main reasons that lead organizations to adopt Zero Trust access:

  1. Attack vector reduction – Gartner estimates that organizations that isolated risky web browsing from end-user systems and isolated application access from networks reduced the success rate of attacks on their environment by 91%.
  2. Reduced data recovery costs – According to an IBM report on enterprise data misuse, organizations using Zero Trust pay nearly 40% less in data recovery costs after an attack.
  3. Faster addition of new users – The eTeacher Group using Cloudflare’s Zero Trust reduced the processes associated with granting access to new users by 60%.
  4. Fewer IT tickets – With simpler access control, organizations cite up to 80% fewer tickets related to resolving user technical issues.
  5. Faster application access – When organizations use Zero Trust networks instead of standard Internet traffic patterns, Cloudflare’s experience is that they reduce latency and speed access to web applications by up to 30% and TCP connections by 17%.

“Zero Trust represents a modern and more secure approach to ensuring the right users access the right application and in accordance with set corporate policies,” said Michal Hebeda, Sales Engineer at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “Simply put, Cloudflare’s Zero Trust platform works like a bouncer at a nightclub, requiring each user to show identification before granting access.”

For example, Cloudflare for Teams solution integrates Zero Trust services at several levels. It provides access for all corporate applications, provides fast and secure web gateway operation, and offers secure user access to corporate systems without the need for a VPN.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, ZEBRA SYSTEMS is responsible for the delivery of Cloudflare services focused on application and network infrastructure security (including, for example, Cloudflare DDoS and WAF), improving the performance and reliability of Internet applications (Cloudflare CDN and DNS), secure Internet access (Cloudflare for Teams, Cloudflare Access, Zero Trust), and platforms for developers (Cloudflare Workers).
